Is it too late for me to make a career change?

A career change should be the last thing you're thinking about at graduation. I tell my friends the story of how I walked across the stage at my college graduation, picked up my diploma showing I now had a degree in journalism, and thought to myself, "Crap. What have I done?"

You may have a different story. Maybe your career choice was perfect for you. Until it wasn't.

The cost of an imperfect career fit

I "made do" for close to 25 years. I used that journalism degree to get jobs in corporate communication, corporate training, and marketing. Don't get me wrong, it served me very well and provided me with a very successful career. I just wasn't fulfilled and had the gnawing idea that I was trying to fit my square-peg self into that proverbial round hole. But the idea of making a career change felt overwhelming and impossible. I made myself sick some mornings thinking about having to go into work and make it through the next 8-10 hours. I had an esophageal ulcer due to constant acid reflux.

It was never a great fit then it became a bad fit.

I was very lucky (and cursed, in a way) that I knew exactly what I was supposed to do, but I didn't have the guts to cut the cord from the golden parachute and pursue it.

Finally, I did it and made a career change in mid-life.

A comprehensive career change program designed for mid-career professionals

Now, I have created a unique career change program that will help you to figure out what next career is or help you get it once you do.

Admittedly, this is a very different career change program than you'd get with most other career counselors and coaches. It may be right for you, it may not.

Certainly, it's not a quick fix. I help you to discover hidden clues to your ideal career, through carefully crafted workbook questions, activities and directed coaching.

Don't worry: I am your guide every step of the way in this career change process. Once we fill the funnel with as many ideas and career change options as possible, I'll help you to conduct useful research to start to whittle down those options. I have created interview scripts and scenarios to help you make those decisions.

Achieve peace and satisfaction knowing your ideal career choice

The biggest benefit of my career change program? I no longer have clients who at the end of the process are still wondering if they are making the right decision. My clients are not riddled with self-doubt, asking "What if?"

As a result of the program, they come to a place of deep knowing and comfort that they are making the right decision about their career change. Most important, they have a sense of peace that they've done the work and feel good about moving forward to make it happen.

Likewise, I would like you to have this experience as well. Let's talk for a half-hour or so and find it if my approach is right for you. Use the button below to schedule an office visit or phone call at a time that is best for you.

Please ask about my career coaching and executive coaching packages to get optimal results at the best value.
